Job Summary:
We are seeking a knowledgeable and friendly Tourist Guide to provide engaging, informative, and safe travel experiences for visitors. The Tourist Guide will assist tourists by sharing historical, cultural, and local insights, organizing tours, and ensuring a memorable experience at destinations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Greet and assist tourists at designated locations
- Conduct guided tours at tourist attractions, historical sites, and cultural landmarks
- Explain local history, culture, traditions, and significance of sites
- Ensure the safety and comfort of tourists during tours
- Manage tour schedules and coordinate transportation if required
- Answer visitor questions and provide recommendations on local food, shopping, and activities
- Handle group coordination and resolve tourist concerns professionally
- Maintain accurate records of tours and feedback
Requirements & Qualifications:
- Diploma or degree in Tourism, History, or related field (preferred)
- Certified Tourist Guide (if applicable as per government norms)
- Good communication skills in English and local languages
- Strong public speaking and storytelling skills
- Friendly, professional, and customer-focused attitude
- Ability to handle groups and work flexible hours
